Bicycles Are the Most Efficient Means of Transportation

According to this post at Treehugger.com, it only takes 35 calories to carry a person one mile on a bike, while it takes 1860 in a car. Bikes also carry more people per hour on a given width of road then cars, although fewer than trains.
